The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and not crushed or chewed. Precautions

Contraindications

Additional contraindications include history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor therapy, bilateral renal artery stenosis, and concomitant use with aliskiren in patients with diabetes. Possible side effects
Common side effects may include persistent dry cough, dizziness, headache, fatigue, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea or diarrhea. Serious but rare side effects include angioedema (swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat), renal impairment, hyperkalemia, and neutropenia. Drug interaction
Coversyl may interact with diuretics, potentially increasing the risk of hypotension. Concurrent use with potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, or salt substitutes containing potassium may lead to hyperkalemia. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may reduce the antihypertensive effect and increase renal impairment risk. Lithium levels may increase when taken with ACE inhibitors. Caution is advised with other antihypertensive agents, and alcohol may potentiate the blood pressure-lowering effects.
Missed dose
If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as remembered on the same day. If it is nearly time for the next scheduled dose, the missed dose should be skipped and the regular dosing schedule resumed. Patients should not double the dose to make up for a missed one. Consistent daily administration is important for maintaining stable blood pressure control.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include severe hypotension, circulatory shock, bradycardia, electrolyte disturbances, and renal failure. Management involves supportive measures including volume expansion with normal saline and monitoring of vital signs. Hemodialysis may be effective in removing perindopril from the circulation. Symptomatic treatment should be administered as appropriate under medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature (15-30°C) in the original container, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the packaging. Tablets should be kept in a dry place and not exposed to extreme temperatures or humidity.
